September 25, 1886 letter to Lieutenant Commander
Franklin Hanford, U.S.Navy, Cold Springs New York.  That which may be the signature of the writer on the obverse
appears to be "Lanck".  Lt.Cmdr Hanford has quite a reputation.  May be of interest to someone studying U.S.
Military history.
